Our sunset boat tour offers an unprecedented privilege: gazing upon Florence’s most iconic sights and seeing churches, cupolas and towers from an honored viewpoint. During the dreamiest moment of the day, just as the sun starts to set, see the palaces, bridges and rippling water bathed in rosy, orange and golden hues. 

After you meet the guide, you will take your place in the “barchetto”, the historic Florentine Gondola, one of the only 4 original traditional wooden boats left in Florence. Be conducted by a “barcaiolo”, a true guardian of Florentine tradition who will guide the boat with their long-reaching pole. 

Take a moment to bathe in the peace and quite, as the hum of bustling Florence dissipates to leave behind just the serene lapping of water. No noisy engines, just the charm of tradition and the voice of your expert tour guide to unveil the secrets of the Arno River as you float along its calm waters and discover the history of this Florentine watercourse and the beautiful Palazzos that frame its ancient riverbed.

Pass in front of the Uffizi Gallery, the magnificent custodian of a plethora of artistic historic treasures. Glide beneath the unmistakable Ponte Vecchio to see a sight enjoyed by a scarce few as you gaze up at the intricate brickwork underneath, upholding not only a bridge but a long-standing goldsmithing tradition and the weight of having played a major role in Florence’s liberation in the last World War. Find out more about the enigmatic Vasari Corridor that runs atop this ‘Old Bridge’. You will also have the chance to discover the Santa Trinita Bridge and the awesome Palazzo Corsini.

As a little change of pace, you can then enjoy a refreshing “Aperitivo”—yet another beloved Italian tradition of savoring a pre-dinner glass of refreshing wine, to raise a toast to your splendid and unforgettable stay in Florence!

Please note that from mid-September, the Gondola Ride departs just as the sun is setting, meaning you can admire the splendid glimmer of the city night lights from this truly fortunate viewpoint.

Rain Policy

The tour departure might be cancelled due to rain.
We will do our best to proceed with the tour. However rain or adverse weather conditions could prevent us from being able to offer an enjoyable and fully safe experience.
In case we cancel the tour (and only in this case), guest options are:
1) Rain check to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company.
2) 100% refund for tour cancellation.
Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority.
In any case, clients should show up at the meeting point at the scheduled time, or contact the office in advance.
